My brain got so blurbed to oblivion this year that I was about to skip doing a proper year end list, but this in-between week has given me a little moment to breathe. I know some outlets and/or individuals feel the need to present consistency—if they rate an album highly early in the year, it must show up on their end of year list etc. But my mind is basically a governmental body composed of 23 subcommittees and 191 capricious mini-music critics all going in opposite directions. I don’t GAF. Life’s about fleeting thrills.
